Yes, surprising, but there's very little of the usual "we're so great" attitude that one normally expects from US people and film makers.
Instead, there's a tale of hard work, co-operation, dedication, testing, re-testing, more testing, and a commitment to each other to get the car to Le Mans, and get it across the finish line.
It's no spoiler to race fans to know the team achieved that goal, or that the items that caused headaches on race day were not items manufactured in house at Hendrick Motorsports.
The pit crew being recognized and rewarded for their commitment and training was the icing on the cake, and looked to have surprised many well regarded crews from other teams.
The one thing not covered, was how fast the Garage 56 NASCAR was compared to the leading LMPT cars, and how some of them were using it as a drafting partner on the long straights, where it was close to the same top speed.
This is a documentary that will leave race fans smiling, and is absolutely worth the watch,. The film production crew should all be equally as proud of their work and story telling as the race team were in achieving the goals set.

It's a good Saturday Afternoon flick. Don't expect anything too serious or heavy, this is just a lightweight romp.
The art direction appears consistent, dialogs easy to follow, action seems, well, like there should be more to it.
Same with the plot. It's a bit too easy, like it's the Lite version of what the film could have been, in the same way the non-Snyder Cut of Justice League felt short and underdone, that's the sense you get watching this, like there should be more to it.
Expect a fan driven campaign to 'Release the Roth Cut'.
As it is, this is a good VoD release, but it's no Cinema Blockbuster.

The set up is that this isn't a story taking place in the same time period you're familiar with, but about a hundred years earlier, with new characters unfamiliar to the usual viewers.
Camera, sound, lighting and CGI are all up to the modern standard we expect.
Carrie Anne Moss is absolutely perfect in her performance. Amanda Stenberg suits her role, as does Dafne Keen. However, Lee Jung jae is a little stilted, and Charlie Barnett and Thara Schoon are positively wooden in their opening moments, and for Charlie it doesn't improve much.
And it feels like the villain of the piece has already been revealed, I hope I'm wrong, as it would be pretty lazy writing to be able to spot it that early in to the first episode.
The Acolyte's real problem, is that viewers have been spoiled by Clone Wars, Bad Batch, Ahsoka, Andor, Mandalorian and Boba Fett. If The Acolyte had only had to follow on behind Episodes 7, 8 & 9 of the Skywalker Saga, then if would be accepted as good.
But spoiled as we've all been, this isn't a match for the other shows, at least not on the basis of the first two episodes of the season.
