If you grew up listening to music from the 1960's to 1980's this movie shows what everyone wished for, to be in a class that rocks. Over-the-top teacher who feels the music (even when no one else does) relays this passion to his class, who also catch jam fever.
Although the teacher's antics were part of the comedy, there were a number of subtle zingers I thought elevated the movie for me. References to music flooded nostalgia, which seemed aimed towards the Zepplin to Van Halen era. Although the movie was formulaic in the 'ragtag to champions' scripting, I think the acting/directing delivered where the template writing fell short.

Flipping the script where the fish are the fishermen and the cats are the catch, this episode harkens to Moby Dick where revenge means more than the crew. As a new leader, Lion-O picks up an important lesson, as they chase down a mighty beast on a 'sand sea' like in Dune looking for the sand worm.
Cool effects on the ship, being held aloft on lightning and action is aplenty. In addition to teamwork, there's a lesson on priorities as well.
Meanwhile, bad things happening at bad guy lair, where it appear evil has the edge on the hunt for the fabled book.
Great animation as always, fun to watch despite the familiar tale.

If you liked Kaboom and Missile Command, here's a new way to stress out while racking up points! The premise is a young girl, as pictured on the label, is a circus performing plate-spinner. Her job is a literal version of my interpretation of my job, which is to keep processes (plates) spinning so that none wobble and fall. Of course, no good deed goes unpunished, as more plates begin to appear and older ones begin to wobble.
Gameplay is fairly easy-going, where you move left and right, then the fire button continues the plates spinning. You can hold down the fire button the whole time which helps, though lining up to spin the plate can be a bit of a pain. A simple tune plays ad nauseum in this unchanging circus setting.
Who amoung your friends and family can keep plates spinning the longest? Play to find out! In the end though, they're only plates, not the end of the world.
