This is a story of what happened in Laurel Canyon in the 60's and it is a must for any lovers of the music coming out of the west coast that fits in well with the documentary about the Wrecking Crew. But in order to hear the amazing stories about the cross pollination, you have to put up with Jakob Dylan, who not only seems to have no chemistry with the people he is interviewing, to the point where you get the idea that the questions were coming from offscreen, but seems to think we need to hear his take on the songs. I thought it was amazingly self indulgent. I don't know if this was done because the producers couldn't get the original songs, did not have enough original interview material or if Jakob thinks he is better than them, but I'm not interested in his music making process. I want the stories not recreations.
A bunch of snowflakes get their dander up because they see women on the screen. I found the movie to be quite good. It's not the best Marvel movie, but it is far from the worst.
The talk about a political agenda is non-existent. It's a fraud.
I enjoyed the movie and didn't read into it what all the pathetic losers thinking themselves victims read into it.
The cult of victimhood gives people free rein to victimize others. This was a clear example, because the movies is not what the cult wants you to think.
Sometimes a movie is just a movie
I like almost everything that the Coen Brothers put out and this one does not disappoint. It is an anthology, which means you can take it in small doses if you want to. And I can understand if someone would, because it contains some of the darkest tales the brothers have ever put out. Some are dark comedies, but rest assured, they are as unrelentingly dark as the dramas. The writing is absolutely superb, right there with the best of their films. You will have your favorite tale and possibly another that you won't find appealing at all, but the movie will not not let a Coen Brothers fan down. Fair warning, the final story will haunt you. Enjoy the legends of the old west Coen style.
