Nina (Nicole Peters) and Victoria (Lauren Peters) are twins from a rich family. Nina is a barista, a college drop-out, and heavily in debt. Victoria is doing all the right things. The sisters are estranged. During a night out at the bar, a stranger pays for all Nina's drinks. He thinks that she's Victoria. Victoria confesses that she's a high-priced escort. She's quitting. With her last date, she recruits Nina to take over new client David Linx.
It's an interesting starting premise, but they need a more convincing argument for the switch. Nina should be more leery of Victoria's offer and I still don't understand Victoria. They are not supposed to get along and Nina should be suspicious. To be fair, she is not the brightest or else she would tell the FBI agents to talk to her lawyer. Neither girls are acting that carefully or that smartly. It can be frustrating. I think the sisters should be best friends for this premise to work better. It's all a little off.

UCLA athlete Jackie Robinson (Andre Braugher) excels at many sports. After Pearl Harbor, he gets drafted. He can't join any white sports teams. With Joe Louis and Satchel Paige, they are able to advance despite the racial discrimination. As a new lieutenant, he fights for his men. He quits the sports teams with all the segregation. He is sent to Texas to prepare for war. In the deep south, he refuses to sit at the back of the Army bus and gets court-martialed.
This is a TV movie on TNT. This is a powerful subject matter, but nothing that groundbreaking for the 90's. It is still informative and the court case is surprisingly compelling. He is really put in the underdog position. Newcomer Andre Braugher has just made a breakout performance in Glory and is solidifying his greatness although I've never seen Kojak. These are two powerful pluses in its column and it's a good movie on top of that.

Andy and his partially-blind stepsister Piper are forced into foster case after the death of their father. Despite him being almost 18, they are threatened to be split up due to his past. They do remain together under the care of foster parent Laura (Sally Hawkins) who is also caring for mute Oliver.
It is no surprise that Sally Hawkins delivers good work. I like the kids. The knife eating scene is awesome. I love the Philippou brothers' last movie Talk to Me. This is a small step down. It doesn't have quite the same energy or dread. It's a little bit messier. It's still good and the brothers have established themselves as more than a flash in the pan.
