The documentary "Buy Now" provides compelling content, with its focus on the subject matter being both engaging and thought-provoking. The experts featured are well-chosen, offering insightful commentary that adds depth to the film's exploration of consumerism and its broader implications. However, the narration detracts from the experience. The use of an "AI"-styled voice feels gimmicky and, at times, grating, making it hard to take these segments seriously. Compounding this issue is the poorly written script for these sections, which leans heavily on clichés and redundant phrasing. This lack of creativity in the narration led me to skip through these parts, ultimately breaking the flow of an otherwise intriguing documentary. While the core message and expert interviews remain strong, the presentation could have been more polished.

Roberts personality is the highlight of the show. He is funny, has a good concept for what he wants to accomplish and interacts with the guests and crew well. Unfortunately I can't enjoy the vehicle projects themselves. They go into very little detail on the build. Everything looks kinda hacked together and not high quality craftsmanship. Overall, the end products are kinda "meh" and not very interesting. Don't get me started on the choice of paint colors...they are some of the worst I have ever seen.

If you are a car guy and into restorations, I don't think you will get much enjoyment out of the show. If you are a novice to cars but enjoy climate related content you may like it.

I was hoping for more history of Ricks journey to where he is now. Something like a Dave Grohl documentary. Unfortunately the music in this series was unbearable.
