Just watched the animated Golden Globe-winning film "Flow," by the Latvian director, Gints Zilbalodis, and I can't recommend it enough to everyone I know! This masterpiece is a breathtaking journey that beautifully intertwines deeply relatable characters, stunning visuals, and a ravishing, scintillating score composed by the director. Its themes resonated on such a profound snd spiritual level for me, which made it not just a film, but an unforgettable experience that left me thoroughly and completely and thoroughly shattered at the end.
"Flow" has all the makings of an immortal and beloved classic, destined to be eternally cherished just like "The Wizard of Oz." It's a film that transcends age and time, and had touched the hearts of everyone who has seen it. Prepare to be deeply moved and inspired-this is a must-see! Thank you, Gints Zibalodis and Latvia, for giving us this precious gift! And a heartfelt congratulations for the Golden Globe-I'm hopeful for the two Oscars for which you've been nominated.

I can't thank a friend of mine enough for recommending "Stranger Things" on Netflix!! My life is richer for having seeing this gem of a series. It is perfection -- a real labor of love that pays homage to the Sci-fi, suspense, and horror genres that we all enjoyed from the '80s. The story line, writing, acting, characterizations, and score are brilliant beyond belief. And David Harbour (who played the minor, but memorable role of Randall Malone for Ang Lee in "Brokeback Mountain") is a revelation. I see him as the next Harrison Ford -- he certainly could play Ford's son (kind of sounds like him, too). Watch this if you haven't!!!
Phew--I don't what to say. This is a film that could be really good a with a bunch of stoned viewers. Some of the acting reminded me of John Waters' early offerings. Perhaps I should take that back--I don't want to insult Waters' ability as a director/storyteller.
I particularly loved the lawyer taking about the "full faith and credibility" clause. It's "full faith and credit," by the way!
This also reminds me of "The Conrad Boys," where the main actor is also the writer, director, film editor, etc. Those sort of multi-involved undertakings such as that are probably best left to very seasoned film professionals who would have the technical ability (albeit a stunt, some might say) to pull something off like that.
