Seldom does a documentary manage to captivate history as The Crusades: Crescent and the Cross does. With good CG (Computer Graphics), it looks almost like a movie though with a historically accurate depiction. though i did miss the exact dates being shown, the presenters however mention the years. It also shows how the crusades was being told by the Muslim perspective though on certain accounts, the Muslim version is either too brief or totally missing. Despite some flaws, it has to get full marks for the visually rich presentation - given that its a documentary - and the entertainment value. A must see for anyone remotely interested in history/Islamic conflict or just for the information this documentary has to show.
If the first one was good in parts, the sequel is plain boring that I switched off my TV halfway through the telecast. Casting is awful, dialog are childish and the entire plot (if any) was so wafer thin that even a monkey could have written slightly better than this. Make no mistake, this takes the cake for the king of horrible movies. Ugh!
I wonder why Hollywood churns out these sequels when the original itself was hardly funny. Legally blonde did not provoke a single smile in me and I tried to force one. Seldom do I get up from a movie screening and this was one of the one in a million occurrences I decided to. Animal testing is funny and a story on this hollow subject should have brought some laughs, but someone decided that showing excessive scenes of animal torture etc. would alienate their "pink clothed" viewers and so decided to keep it nice. The result is neither funny nor a powerful enough story. The end result: Legally Horribly Lousy.

I never read the book, for that matter I don't read any novels, and when i saw the first part, it was quite impressive for the grandeur and special effects. But there seemed to be a lack of coheshion in the movie and any thrust. I was looking at my watch for the film to be over during the final 1/2 hour. But the second one was totally awesome. Very few sequels surpass their originals, and this was one of them. The final war was the cream of the special effects. "My Precious" favourite. But I'm going to get the first one's DVD too and watch it again in case I've missed anything.
