Love Zeppelin! I've done my deal of nerding and chasing clips over the years so I found it refreshing to see and hear some new footage even though much is already out there. The Bonham interview was a nice thing that hasn't been heard of before. Always nice to follow along a band and getting nostalgic (even if it happened at a tiem before my birth ;)
Anyways the whole documentary feels kind of shallow. I would've wished for more depth, especially in the interviews, it feels very "safe" which is a bit boring. If they couldn't be there for their families - how did that make them feel?! Their inspiration and Plant putting Dixons lyrics in whole lotta love for example - how did they/he reason when they later added the credits later but not initially? It's like it's not totally transparent and it would be fun to dig deeper!
Since it only covers the first two albums I'm of course hoping for more 😍

I think it's was good, the dialogue was nice - maybe a bit outdated but also refreshing at times. And then there are a couple of funny scenes with a story that's kind of predictable but never boring.
What takes away from my grading is Billy Crystals character. He shows NO expressions throughout the WHOLE movie, he's ALWAYS stone faced? I haven't seen a lot of movies with him so he might always look like that but I must say what a terrible choice for a movie like this. I don't think I've ever seen such a dull character in any movie, I thought it was laughable.
So yeah that was a failure for me making the whole movie's vibe feel bad at times. Sleepless in Seattle is an equally good written film but with likeable characters all the way, would choose that over this any time!

A very sad (and true) story where we follow the intake Johanna at a home for people with learning difficulties around the 1940s. She's being one out of many to take part in an experiment eating unusually large amounts of sugar and fat. This was done in order to make a correlation between calories to caries resulting in declining dental and overall health for the participants who weren't even able to give their consent.
The film has a slow pace, following a classic Swedish style. The acting is good and credible, especially from the patients. In its core it's a story about friendship and love behind the cold reality where pride and a discrimination against the mentally challenged gets to decide what's right or wrong.
I recommend!
