As I am recovering from multiple strokes, I have had the time to scour TV for things to view. One of them became CWFH. I wasn't that impressed, since I didn't know most of the talent, but a few things stuck out. Having one man, Eric Watts, win their Tag-Team titles was something I don't think I had ever seen. Him beating Jervis & The Hobo was sorely needed.

As the months passed, Tuff TV showed the same episode 3 weeks straight and one week aired a blank screen. What that did was give them time to refresh, and it seems to have helped. When the show returned, they aired the "Red Carpet Rumble". Even though it looked like mostly jobbers, they gave me my 1st real pop when Vicky Guerrero appeared. Since then, they've added Rocky Romero, and from what I've read, Alberto El Patron is appearing at the September 10th taping. With CWFH expanding, it looks like they will try to move up in visibility. Hopefully the action gets better as well.

I'm not as verbose as others on this site, but I have to say that this show is SO much better than history will claim. I do not understand why this show wasn't a bigger hit, both when it was originally on the air, or since.

On a side note, I hope that it's run on CBN was not the cause of the "Ronnie's Fan Club" episode being pulled from the syndication package. I recently found it online, and I don't understand what could have cause such an uproar that it could no longer be shown, I have seen and heard much worse. In fact, a companion episode to it just aired this morning on Antennae TV. Even for 1958, the episode was tame. It had to be some oversensitive snowflake that got it pulled.

I saw this episode a few months ago and sent a synopsis to this site. Why it isn't here is anyone's guess.

From what I remember, War performed 3 songs live [ Southern Part Of Texas, Low Rider, and Smile Happy ] and showed the video for "Why Can't We Be Friends".

The Main Ingredient lip-synced 2 songs [ Shame On The World and one that I've forgotten the name of, and would have been listed had IMDb put up my review when i sent it...lol].

This was my first time seeing an episode of SOUL TRAIN since I was a kid and had forgotten that they had LIVE performances, as opposed to the "all lip-sync" format of American Bandstand.
