Yeah, I know. "It's supposed to have bad animation, it's part of the JOKE." Whatever. This show tries way too hard to be funny. The jokes go on way too long. Now, I'm a fan of jokes that go on too long to be funny (Family Guy did this a LOT), but it's painfully obvious this isn't an effort to be funny. They just didn't know when to stop.
I avoided this for four years and I wish I had avoided it another four. Bad. Bad bad bad.

If one more person tells me this movie is the best "punk" movie ever, I'm going to shoot them. It's like they turn it off halfway through. Probably one of the better movies about social status and how you view yourself or lead others to view you as.
I got a little tired of damning everything that wasn't a "thinking" piece when I turned 16 and decided to enjoy the entertainment field. This show (coupled with the superior Even Stevens) is a testement to exactly how entertained you can be if you don't watch it expecting another MASH. Yes, the show is aimed at middle schoolers, and yes, it shows. What's unique, though, is that the writer's don't fall into the "Disney movie as of late" pattern (that is, write jokes for the adults while keeping a child mentality in the story). The parents parts in the show are there specifically for adults, their interaction is some of the most realistic "married couple who are still young enough to want lives but now have kids are are trying to deal" portrayels I've seen in a while. What's good about the show is that instead of trying to entertain the adults, they try and entertain the older siblings who might be watching with a younger sibling. One show had a blatant Exorcist reference (right down to a bastardized version of Tubular Bells), while another had a Big Lebowski reference (still confused on that one. Exorcist I can fathom, but Big Lebowski?). Give it a shot. It's a hell of a lot better than the Jersey.
