Who the hell decided to cast Han Ga-In as a grown-up Kim Yoo-Jung ? It was a terrible mistake and totally destroyed the show! With all due respect to her, she looks nothing like Kim Yoo-Jung and frankly her acting was mediocre at best. Funny thing is, Nam Bo-Ra would have been so much better for this role as one could easily believe thats a grown up Kim Yoo-Jung. Han Ga-In would have suited much better as a grown-up Joon Bo-gyeong.
It was a great storyline but the bad casting spoiled the show for me. I still gave it 6 because of Kim Yoo-jung in first 8 episodes and wonderful performance by Kim Soo-Hyun as the King in remaining episodes.

Its one of those films which grows on you by second or third viewing, as the story is too complex with lots of subtle nuiances you will most likely miss on first viewing. Editing could've been better too. Performances are fantastic and music is delightful.
While I fully understand all the people who did not like it, I personally feel its an amazing work of art. And if you are a music lover like me, just the title track "Kalank" is worth the ticket, with all the amazing sets creating a fantastic backgroud for an intense love story coming as a huge bonus.

First off, the producers, directors and writers deserve a standing ovation for creating a movie that addresses the deplorable practice of surrogacy but they manage to do it without being too dark or appear to be preaching. Not only that, they manage to mix in just the right amount of intelligent comedy and emotion.
The film itself is very entertaining, with Kriti Sanon delivering perhaps the best performance of her career. I would be very disappointed if she does not win an award or two for her incredible acting skills. Pankaj Tripathi's brilliance only makes the movie so much more lovable.
Well done everyone! Brillant movie!
P. S. Very annoyed with negative reviews from so-called "critics". Please go get a real job and do something useful. This is the age of internet, we viewers can ourselves decide what is good and what is not and let others know, thank you very much!!!
