I AM SO EXCITED. I was too young to see this film when it first came out, but this one night re-release in a theatre in Chelsea (where else) with the original odorama cards is just too much excitement to contain... if you live in the immediate area, come to the clearview theatre in chelsea...I'm really hoping the idea will catch on, and hopefully other john waters films will come back to life there... i mean i would LOVE to see PINK FLAMINGOS on the big screen , or FEMALE TROUBLE , even SERIAL MOM. yes, i would have to agree this was a transition film for Waters. I mean this one did play in regular theaters i'm told unlike the previous ones...and it was tamed down quite a bit compared to say Desperate Living, but it had Jean Hill , and that's got to count for something...and it was edie's last film (SNIFF) ...plus it was just hilarious to see Divine in such a submissive role here. It was so uncharacteristic. I loved the daughter in this film, (so Laurie on that 70's show) I wish she had done more films. .. come on down if you can!

First of all I have read the other reviews...these were done by tired no brain idiots who fail to appreciate the HOST of creative subtleties that made this show entirely unique. There is no material-biting , or boring skeletal sketches; everything in the series is done for a reason: these characters are drawn to make you think on a symbolic level, they act to make to you think on a symbolic level, their complicated idiosyncrasies are complicated, and repellent and sensuous at once...you HAVE to watch them more than once, that's why I LOVE them..Peter Chung worked extremely hard to fit so much meaning into so short a time frame. I have never seen anything like this series and likely never will again. One of the best things ever shown on MTV!

BeastMaster is not about intelligent writing or good acting necessarily, its about the tight bodied , half naked blond hottie who runs around in it. That is why I watch it. It is good eye candy to aspire to before I go to the gym. And I also watch carefully for homoerotic subtext which despite what any blind eyed teenage girl might tell you, is definitely there. You don't have to dive for it. I could certainly watch this show on mute and miss nothing.
