Personally I prefer Terrence winter. To all of them but I lean hard to the sopranos and boardwalk empire style long form storytelling. This film was a visual masterpiece. This film being banned in Russia makes it all the more worth watching. Putin and the orange elephant in the room are why bond villains are bond villains. Bigotry is so en vogue in 2025. This film challenges many perceived stereotypes and is visually innovative and majestic. Highly recommended.

Real life is not as cut and dry as the murder mystery cop shows I mostly watch on acorn. This film showed me what acorn and great actors can do with a real life family drama. I often muse that family is a cult and this one proves it. All three leads were great as was the supporting cast who all seemed familiar as bbc cop show casts. The daughter reminds me most historically of Lizzie Borden. I believe we are all neurodivergent. I also believe sociopaths allowed to run around unchecked is why the world seems to be run by sociopaths. Suicide by capitalism isn't talked about enough. Suicide by child is wild and this is the first time I have ever seen it addressed anywhere. A really amazing film with done truly amazing performances. More and more I feel like acorn is where the most interesting stuff can be found l.

Definitely much better overall than true detective. I think the first season is much much better than the movie. My favorite non hbo series ever made. Best Billy Bob in season 1, number 2 is the holiday classic the ice harvest you all should be watching on Christmas Eve as I do every year. I think this show with its acting cast from all over the world is often better than breaking bad. I loved watching all the seasons and need to go back and watch some of my favorites. I just enjoyed the first season of dark winds almost as much as an elite Fargo season. Going to watch a Fargo episode and a Batman the animated series tonight. Tough to beat that combo.
