Love and Monsters-NETFLIX
Read the title again.
Yeah, its not the usual post-apocalyptic-sci-fic with monsters and human emotions.
There is more to this, which is why its a good watch.
Apart from the usual adventure-exploration-love quest This movie initially impressed me with its minor details.
Towards the end, aside from the promised, I did cherish several moments in the movie.
The climax as such, was very different and much better than the usual
Can't say the movie guarantees take aways for y'all, but I even the felt the whining of the dog.
SPOILERS AHEAD
1. Loved to have felt the attachment of the dog to its initial master 2. The genuine confusion it has while parting ways with the travellers/survivors.
3. The girl having deeper commitments in life 4. The mom element invoked through a robot 5. The glimpse of human emotions of pre-apocalypse invoked at different stages.
6. The value of the initial family, which several fail to notice unless they are away

NOBODY
From the creator of the JOHN WICK FRANCHISE, comes the much awaited action/thriller 'NOBODY'.
Though these movies are from the same tailor and is about characters who had a violent past. Its not the same.
Nobody gives you an alternate-older version of John Wick with a family.
John is young, filled with rage, and is pulled back to his old life
'Nobody' has been leading his family life for far too long, which is a facade, and he EMBRACES his past life, as it is his salvation
The movie was less cinematic till the last, and has more real-life stunt sequences.
Like I said, he is an older wick, who gets hit and takes stabs, but doesn't give up. He relies more on experience, over fancy stunts.
This doesn't make it less entertaining, rather more engaging.
I do have a friend, who goes by the name AMG. Yeah! Like the gun. These people crave for real life action, and the salvation one attains through such action, is well depicted in the movie. You would just feel his happiness.
So? Just Dance.

Karnan
Apart from the fact that this movie deserves the next national award, let's have a detailed look.
If you are a admirer of movies like 8Aadukalam, pudhu pettai, Vada Chennai* etc. Dont wait for a second, bcz this is my favourite of all. I would say this is the most intense of all. And here is why.
The previous movies were centered more into the main character, his personal ambitions, and more about himself. However, in Asuran, the seriousness did spread to the family as well. Now imagine, how it will be IF THE WHOLE VILLAGE PLAYS ALONG WITH THIS INTENSITY. If you are someone who experience a movie, I'm sure you cant handle it, because to take in the pain, the shattered dreams, the aspiration of a whole community, is too much for an individual. Which is why I feel, this is an INTENSE PORTRAYAL AGAINST OPPRESSION.
From the director Mari Selvaraj, debut director through PARIYERUM PERUMAL, the movie shook me at several points, including symbolic references. I have never witnessed something like this. I wish you would focus more into these points as well.
The movie has a strong historic touch as well. But MOST SURPRISINGLY, it is not portrayed as a flash back. ITS BRILLIANTLY portrayed by switching the camera angles. Good Grace! On a sunny day, if you capture a video with sun behind you. The characters are bright right? But if its the opposite direction, they would be dark. Its the same thing. But with the music, the movie brings all this historical touch through that. Which is why, ITS THE MOST INTENSE OF ALL. I wish I was better at tamil, so I could even understand the songs and every dialogue :(
