I love westerns, and I'm a Darby Hinton fan. I also like the writings of Dan Searles, so I was looking forward to seeing Was Once A Hero last June.

The movie FAR exceeded my expectations.

So well written, and all the actors were superb in their roles.

The movie was, at various times, humorous, exciting, and touching.

Darby Hinton gives a heart wrenching performance that will bring tears to your eyes.

PTSD didn't have a name during the post civil war era, but it was there, as was dementia. You will fall in love with Darby's character and this movie.

Kudos also to Eliza Kelley, Robert Carradine, John Carter Cash, Dan Searles, and the beautiful Rebecca Holden.

But keep your eyes on a young actress by the name of Julie Kashmanian, she will be a star!

A well made and well acted mystery.

This show reminds my husband and I of the Jesse Stone movies with Tom Selleck. We both love a good murder mystery and these are very good, without being too gory and evil. Although, I guess murder is kinda evil.

The scenery is so idyllic. And there's a little romance too!

The Police Chief is a divorcee from a big city, who moved to this quaint sea town. The love interest is the town librarian who is hesitant to get involved with him, but of course, they get together.

Love the characters and the actors.

I still can't get over the police chief being Donald Sutherland's son.

I hope it is given a second season and time to develop further.

I love sappy romantic Hallmark movies! However, they need to have clever writing, a little more than average plot, and decent acting. This film fails in all categories. I abhor the movies where everyone smiles or giggles constantly. This one has way too many smiles. My favorites that hit the mark in recent years: 1. Holiday Date 2. The Christmas Shepherd 3. "Almost" anything (with very few exceptions) with Candace Cameron Bure, Paul Campbell, Jill Waggoner, Andrew Walker, Luke McFarlane, Kimberly Sustad, Autumn Reeser, Bethany Joy Lentz, Danica McKeller, Nikki DeLoach, Lacey Chabert, Alison Sweeney, Cameron Mathison, Rachel Boston, Mark Blucas, Paul Greene, Jesse Metcalf...I could go on.
