I can see why the reviews are polarized and why people hate the film. It's a frustrating film at times mainly cause there is so much going on. Right off the bat it's crazy flash and busy tho I enjoyed it at first at the film progressed it gets more busy and busy and then the ending is so busy and goes on and on and on and it doesn't know when to end. That's the main fault of the film is that less is more and that would of helped the film. There is also much characters that the supporting characters don't get enough screen time and story that they seem pointless at times or lost. The acting is amazing especially Margot Robbie who deserves all the praise for the film. I get what the film was aiming at but it just lands where you hate or love it at times. It's frustrating and at times gives you a headache. I overall enjoyed the film at times and thought it was ok though I would not recommended the film.

Why can't they make a gay comedy or romantic comedy or just a gay movie but make it like a reg straight movie. As a gay man I hated this film and I hated it for many reasons. The main reason I hated this film and the reason why it bombed at the box office is Billy Eichner lots of people don't like him and I had mixed feelings on him but it all changed after watching this. Billy's character is so unlikeable and it's just like he is in real life loud and annoying. The r he movie flops and he comes out with it flopped because straight people didn't want to see it etc no it's because it's not good and it's you. Why in every gay film the main gay characters are so unlikeable and nasty like Luke Macfarlane his character is unlikable. There is also zero chemistry between the 2 stars. The jokes fall flat and are forced and at times I cringed at how bad the acting was. The story was awful also even the music was bad it's like they didn't want to pay the rights for songs so they used bad songs that didn't even go with the film. Debra Messings scenes are the only thing that is good about the film.

I remember seeing this film in the theatres the first time it came out when I was a teenager and loved it. As an adult it's not the greatest but it's still fun. You can't take the film too serious and if you don't then you'll like and enjoy the film.
