I was able to view this film at CineVegas 2002, and I will say it wasn't a waste of time, but I am not sure I would pay to see it again in the theaters.
Jeff Daniels plays a middle class, vacuum sales person who is losing business to his cross-town competitor. Until this point, the movie is pretty, well...boring.
At this point the movie turns to the extreme and becomes pretty funny in a "stupid movie" sort of way--you don't want to laugh but you just can't help it. I will not go any further as I do not want to ruin the film for anyone.
Daniels plays a good role and is funny in it, and if you go into this film not expecting a whole lot, you shouldn't be disappointed.

I also saw this film at the Cine Vegas Film Festival and I agree that this is a must see for people looking for an innovative film, both in its writing and especially in its editing, then you need to check this film out. Also, the soundtrack is excellent and features new music from Roxette and Billy Corgin. Fans of films like Fight Club and Momento will love Spun's editing, and fans of Traffic and Blow will love its story.
I was lucky enough to see this film at the Cine Vegas Film Festival last week and I must say that I am shocked at its low overall score thus far. The best part of this film is its screenplay. Heather McGowen and Niels Mueller did an wonderful job putting this story together. If you are looking for a film that knows how to develop its characters, build suspense and most importantly can tell a story the way it is meant to be told, then you need to see Tadpole. The acting in this film was also excellent. Bebe Neuwirth, John Ritter and Aaron Stanford gave great performances. This is a funny and touching film that anyone that is a fan of a good screenplay will enjoy.
