This movie is nothing like its predecessor. While I like the fact that it's moved on with a "new generation" of technology and storm chasers, it really lacks memorable dialogue and flying cows. (Oh come on. I need that cow.)
Glen Powell, Daisy Edgar Jones, and Anthony Ramos basically carry the movie for the whole cast whereas, in the original movie, I can think of memorable things or lines from various characters. I know it's hard to be compared to the original, but I just can't love it. It's okay, but it's not dynamite.
I understand that a Twisters 2 might be in the works. I hope that they can somehow make it a movie to remember for years to come!

This is a decent movie. It moves along okay, but it just doesn't excite me in the same way that "Pride and Prejudice," "North and South," and "Jane Eyre" do. This is a different movie. I'd say it's more solemn and pretty depressing. Toby Stephens and Tara Fitzgerald are great actors, but again, the plot was just too much of a downer for me.
The kid who played "Arthur" is cute as a button. I have no idea how he did this movie because if I were him, I'd be begging for something more lighthearted.
I do hope to find more of Toby Stephen's work in the future. I found this movie on The Roku Channel and I'm happy to report that it is closed-captioned for the hearing-impaired. (I know this is a very important issue for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community.)

Fred Rogers is an icon in children's television programming. He's right up there with Big Bird, Carmen Sandiego, and other characters that we associate with PBS. Fred taught the children about love and life and he made it a point to be everyone's friend at all times. This movie should have been a very moving biopic. I expected this to be a tribute to a man who loved his work and the people around him. However, this movie was more about Lloyd. Fred cared about everyone. I mean, everyone! He cared about Lloyd, so I guess it shouldn't be a complete surprise to see so much of the focus on someone else because Fred would have preferred it that way. I hope that there will be another film about Fred Rogers that will give us a little more of what we want.
