It took me quite a few attempts to get into this. The first few episodes were a really hard watch, I personally found Kaz (the main character) so irritating. I get that he's meant to be this clumsy, funny character to entertain the younger viewers (who in fairness, the show is obviously aimed at), but it felt massively overdone and for the first half of the first season, he feels very similar to Jar Jar Binks. To the writers credit, they did seem to tone this down a lot as the show progressed, especially in the second season. The other issue I had, again, particularly in the first season was that there wasn't really any story. Every episode felt stand along with no character development or story progression. It then just becomes a rinse and repeat of "The First Order finds them > Jump to Hyperspace > The First Order finds them > Jump yo Hyperspace" which quickly becomes a bit stale and repetative.
There were some more likeable characters; Yeager, Torra and Venisa but a lot of them don't have any real depth and we're pretty forgettable; Tam, Captain Doza, Synara and Hype.
The second season is a lot stronger than the first which is why I'm giving it a 6/10. It's not great but there's honestly worse Star Wars shows out there also. The frustrating thing is that the back half of Season 2 started getting quite good and then that was the end.
Is it worth watching? Yes, if you're a Star Wars fan. Would I ever rewatch it? Probably not.

Just rewatched this after its first release six years ago. It's been so long that I couldn't really remember the story and I honestly really enjoyed it's criminally underrated and way more enjoyable than I previously recalled.
There's A LOT of references to the original trilogy and I think that the casting is fantastic. It's a real shame that a second Solo film has been all but written off now and we may never conclude how Qi Ra's story progresses because Emilia Clarke did a fantastic part in playing her role in this. Alden Ehrenreich, Woody Harrelson and Donald clover are also superb casting choices. Living up to Harrison Ford's Han Solo is a mammoth task that in all honesty was always doomed for failure but Ehrenreich's performance complimented the character and he played the "charming scoundrel" role really well. Would love to see the main cast in a sequel but I think too much dust has settled since this films release for that to happen.
The film is also pretty funny throughout which I'm usually against. I usually prefer the darker / more gritty approach (like Andor) but the humour isn't pitched at such a juvenile level that you find yourself rolling your eyes like the majority of the new Disney / Star Wars releases. Most of the jokes come from references to the OT.
Absolutely would recommend for anyone who's a fan of the OT.

I hate the juvenile direction that a lot of these Star Wars series are starting to take but it isn't going to change.
Disney will keep churning out garbage like this and Young Jedi Adventures as they're desperate to attract a younger fan base rather than adhere to those die hard fans who've been following the genre for nearly 50 years in some cases. As someone else pointed out, I think the early signs were there when "Baby Yoda" was introduced but at least the Mandalorian was a good show (for the first two series at least...).
If you're under the age of 10, it's probably really not that bad and perfectly enjoyable but for a 31 year old "Star Wars completionist" like myself, this is a really hard watch.
Series 2 of Andor can't come soon enough to give us adults something to actually enjoy.
