What happened? Part I was pretty good. That's how I remember it anyway. The best MI installment after MI-2 imo. But this one? Ouch...

Final Reckoning is boring. The first half hour (or was it an hour? It certainly felt like it) is mostly talking and more talking, and more tedious explanations. I fell into a numb indifference and never recovered until the movie ended.

Sure, there are some impressive stunts. But unlike Part I, they did not really wake me up. I couldn't care less about the story and its characters.

Final Reckoning is cheesy. The last half hour is really cringe-worthy.

Time to bid farewell to Mission Impossible. Tom Cruise can be a good actor (Magnolia!). Just not here.

Robert Downey Jr and Robert Duvall are both very good here. And the movie is centered on the relationship between the two of them.

But, as another person has pointed out, Vincent D'Onofrio and Vera Farmiga both give very sensitive and low-key performances. Very touching.

This is a good movie.

Recommended.

Unbelievable story. Not a surprise but it does not even try.

Bad dialogs. Cheesy at best.

Bad acting. LIke really bad.

And, as a cherry on the cake, Kate Beckinsdale's grossly pumped up lips are embarrassing.

Some action scenes are fine and the reference to the opening sequence of Ghost in the Shell is nice.

Not recommended. Even on a rainy day.
