Four schoolteachers test the effects of maintaining a certain blood alcohol content throughout each day with interesting results.
I was really intrigued by the concept of this movie but it ultimately fell short. I like the premise, a lot, but the execution proved slow paced and some line-choices feel really odd and out of place. I found myself wondering by toward the end whether the movie was almost over.
Film enthusiasts will probably really enjoy this film, and those interested in exploring the positive and dark sides of drinking culture, but most audiences may find this film simply boring.

The story of an enlisted soldier in Vietnam torn between the morals of two very different leaders and brothers-in-arms.
This is one of those films that while it is hard to watch, it is also important to watch. It depicts a brutality of the Vietnam War that is still not fully realized and asks serious moral and ethical questions of its viewers among grisly and eventful action sequences. It seems like this is a movie you're supposed to watch for some higher calling.
Also, the acting is great! Willem Defoe especially stands out.
While not everyone can get past the R-rated violence featured in the movie, I think most people should try to watch it.

An intimate look at the bonds of friendship between men that is tested as they experienced the trauma of the Vietnam War.
I'm sorry I'm giving this such a low rating, this is just my personal opinion. Simply, this was not my kind of movie and I had a hard time getting into it. The pacing was slow, the direction of what was happening by wasn't always clear, and the 'bro-mance' between the main characters was not anything I could identify or feel connected with.
I do think this movie is a masterpiece for some people, especially those who have lived a life more similar to the main characters in the film. I'm just not the target that this movie was trying to reach.
