Do not waste your time on this movie unless you are a fan of the slasher genre and a completionist who wants to say you've seen them all.
Problem 1: not enough kills.
Problem 2: kills are not entertaining.
Problem 3: not enough gore.
Problem 4: not enough nudity.
Problem 5: best scene in the movie -- the dinner scene -- has a weak payoff.
Problem 6: Pacing is poor so the movie drags.
I watch a lot of slasher flicks. What's most disappointing to me about this movie is there are some good ideas that go nowhere.
Followers of the genre will appreciate the genre awareness but ultimately this movie is only for hardcore slasher fans. Casual fans looking for something scary to watch will probably be disappointed.

I avoided this movie for a long time because the press was bad. Then, I stumbled across it on Tubi and thought, what the heck, Megan Fox is hot, I'll see how bad this movie can be. I was pleasantly surprised. The characters felt fully realized, the writing was snappy, the leads had excellent chemistry, Fox and Seyfried are perfectly cast and turn in great and believeable performances, the jokes land, the creepy stuff is sufficiently creepy, the soundtrack is excellent ... to be honest, I'm not sure what people wanted or needed from this movie for it to have garnered such negative press. I'm going to be adding this to my collection of physical media soon.
There are plenty of reviews here to summarize the plot for you. I just wanted to add my two cents in defense of this movie, which I found to be thoroughly engrossing and enjoyable.

Are there girls in bikinis in this movie? No.
Are there fun kills in this movie? No.
Is there a shark in this movie? No.
Is the acting good? No.
Is the writing good? No.
There's simply nothing worthwhile about this movie, unless you enjoy topless men. If you do, you might at least enjoy a shower scene. There's a fair amount of beefcake for you to enjoy.
Outside of that, there is absolutely nothing to recommend this movie.
