A really well made, delightful, eye-opening and touching film. I loved the journey that Belmaya went on and the soundtrack is also a belter. I'll be keeping my Brady eyes open for the filmmakers next project. A must watch.
How could it go wrong I thought to myself? It was made by the same men who created such masterpieces of the comedy world as Dumb & Dumber(The Godfather of the comedy world), Kingpin and also There's Something About Mary, the cast is good and there seemed to be no end to the potential comedy moments once I had heard about the plot. Unfortunately it compares more favourably with the hit and miss Me, Myself and Irene than the previously mentioned stella threesome. The Farrelly Brothers seem to be on a steady decline at present, which is a shame as they have a rare and undoubted talent for comedy. Although this film has a few laugh out loud moments, they are unfortunately too few and not nearly loud enough and ultimately it is a disappointing entry to the Farrelly Brothers collection. Snap out of it Farrelly's!
I know what your thinking! Your thinking, "I've seen quite alot of good films in my time, but something's missing. I've seen great gangster movies in the Godfather and Goodfellas, fantastical fantasy films in Lord of the Rings and Jurassic Park, and Scintillating Sci-Fi movies with Aliens and The Terminator, but where are all the movies where the bad guys get turned inside out via the anus goddamnit!?" Well look no further, because Society fills the gapping void in the movie market that you were all seeking. A very strange movie, but even though its star is Billy Warlock of Baywatch fame, its actually pretty good. Not everybody's cup of tea, I'm sure, but for those who occasionally enjoy something a little different and thought provoking, it will linger in the mind, long after the credits have rolled.
