I can't believe that this is a (TV) movie made by Peter Bogdanovich whom I admire for his delicious "Cat's Meow", "The Last Picture Show", "Paper Moon" and not to forget the medicore but joyable "The Thing Called Love". Natalie Wood's life and stories - I believe has to be much better than it. Especially, in Bogdanovich's hand, and the good choice actress : Justine Waddell, who's surprisingly playing Natalie so well, and also very very much look alike. To be honest, Waddell is the only thing that's good in this TV movie. (And I really hope she can find another good role for her talent and beauty).

while the rest of the cast are not so good, (maybe Alice Kridge's not that bad for her role of the crazy ambitious mother from hell, though) and they made this worse. I can't even really find the "Joan Collins" and much different Christopher Walken (not after the famous scene came out) , the one who plays James Dean also looked so different and can't capture Dean's spirit.

the plot also should've been better than it. Anyway, it's still pretty enjoyable to watch, but I still hope if only it's better than this.

This movie must had been good, or better if it has a better director (who understands old Javanese language's dialect and can choose which scene is which), much much better actors (once again who are at least convincing as chinese-Javanese-Indonesian who lived on those period), a better script writer.

the ones who doesn't understand Javanese language might think it's okay, but all the dialect and wording are mostly wrong and too modern (they should have better reaserach on it). the main actor even can't give a real impression as a Chinese who also speaks 30's Javanese language.

I've read the novel and it's much much better than the movie, even I can say that the movie can't capture the novel at all.

the only things that help is the costume and the cinematography.

so if they say it should be on the Oscar's line, well they are mistaken. this is not that good, even some of us can't bare when watch it on TV, but I do praise the spirit of making it.

Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla is badder than the previous ones such as GMK & Godzilla x Megaguirus. The movie plot somehow quiet similar to X Megaguirus, the music is sob, the effects is not even getting better, again x Megaguirus has a far-far better music. he new godzilla suit is not even cool, if you don't want to mention not quiet original, the "beaky" & smaller face it the worse part of all, he looks like a CGI version of the 2000 version ( not quiet shaped well). The human relations is OK, but for a kaiju movie, it's quiet awful, there is nothing new for the fighting scenes. I quiet hate this one.
