A jaded and determined Ian Malcolm goes on a mission to the island of Isla Sorna to save his daughter and girlfriend in Steven Spielberg's Solid and worthy follow up to his original Dinosaur classic. Jeff Goldblum, Richard Attenborough and Julianne Moore rounds out a solid cast with Spielberg upping the terror and thrills department with a movie that has the scariest and most intense scenes in the entire "Jurassic" series. Goldblum once again is golden and Richard Attenborough shines is a minor role. The special effects are amazing and John Williams magic touch has not lost a beat since the original.
This movie is so bad that it makes the awful Marvel/Sony film " Morbius" Look great by comparison, that's how bad this movie truly is. The screenplay is an absolute sad joke, the dinosaurs look incredibly cheap and the acting is terrible. Sam Neill is literally slumming for a pay check in this sad waste of a movie and he does not look like he's even happy to be in this film to begin with. It's not even in the same ball park in terms of quality as Steven Spielberg's first two movies ("Jurassic Park" and "The Lost World") had or The first legacy sequel ("Jurassic World"). The only jurassic film that comes close to how bad this film was is "Fallen Kingdom" and that film at least had some decent moments. "Jurassic Park 3" makes you feel cheap and dirty after its done, which is pretty sad if you're a real fan of the "Jurassic" series.
Brain dead sequel finds Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard trying to save the dinos of "Jurassic World" from a live volcano that threatens to destroy the entire island. Ofcourse things don't go their way and all hell breaks loose. Add in a new dino monster and that's pretty much the entire film. Unfortunately while this simple story worked in a B movie sort of way with "Jurassic World", it drops flat on its face with "Fallen Kingdom", with a very bad script, a miserable looking Chris Pratt and some very bad set pieces that rips off not only the first two Jurassic films but rips off most of the monster on the loose in a spooky house films. Nothing in this film is worth your time other than Jeff Goldblum's 3 minute cameo which book ends this film and reminds you on why Steven Spielberg's first two Jurassic epics ( The original "Jurassic Park" and Its true Sequel "The Lost World") were so damn good. The only thing the rest of " Fallen Kingdom" reminds you of is the horrible "Jurassic Park 3" where poor Sam Neill looks like he was about to jump off a cliff in order to escape the movie he was in. The same way poor Chris Pratt looked in this film.
Avoid.
