This Is It is an interesting behind the scenes look at the way Michael Jackson did business. The main thing that struck me while viewing it was what a real loss the world suffered when Jackson passed. He was immensely talented and immensely caring. Some of the highlights of the film are seeing how hands on Michael is with everything and also what modern spins he was planning on putting on some of his classic tunes in his comeback shows. It's always refreshing to find someone as famous as MJ was also quite humble and that shows through here as well. A must for fans and probably quite educational for those with limited exposure to the King of Pop.
I went to see this movie expecting to see a good presentation of the Bell Witch case, something I've been interested in for a long time due to my geographic closeness to the area the events in the case occurred in. I was extremely disappointed in the explanation for what the ghost was in the film and the reasons behind its origin. I was expecting some more like a documentary, instead I got a very "Hollywood" ending to make the film more appealing to mass audiences. Ugh.
Some of the actors seem rather uninspired as well. Donald Sutherland looks bored through half of the film. If you want something truer to form, look up some of the independent documentaries about the Bell Witch haunting. They're a lot closer to life than this dreck.

For comic book purists who worship at the altar of continuity, Catwoman will probably come across as a nightmare. However, I'd heard about the reworking of the character before seeing the movie and went in with low expectations.
I must say I was pleasantly surprised. While Selina Kyle, Batman and other Gothamites are nowhere to be found, if you take this movie as what it's intended to be, Catwoman re-imagined, then you should enjoy it as much as I did.
I think the composite rating for this film is waaaay too harsh. Enjoyable popcorn fare. 7 of 10.
