An anime that relates you to the unrelatable: a god-like orb, who can seamlessly transition from face to face, as he travels the world storing its essence within himself. It reminds me of the horror film "The thing", but from a much more wholesome spin told through the emotional heft of its characters.
The second season took a flamboyant turn, to say the least, but it cut through the even-keel somber tone like lemon through butter, and in some ways was good - although a bit much on the other hand.
The final showdown caused me to binge watch the rest all night, and I think it was well done, and my heart sunk when "you know what" happened. But I really like grandiose battles, and felt they did quite a good job.
And don't get me started on March, made me cry about 3 times and was bursting with charisma, and the way they drew the wolf was so cute. So why only 8/10?
Well, aside from the slow pacing and samey visuals, it really did feel like there wasn't much to lose at times, or if there was, that it was just going to keep happening and repeating anyways. This is the problem with telling a story of immortality, but the extensive cast made each new addition more brief. And so, there was only like, once that it felt as though everything was on the line. But also, after the introduction of the antagonist, for the most part they don't come with many surprises thereafter. Most of the failures come across as incompetence, and so little about what lurks under the surface of this world is touched on.
Nevertheless, it's a good anime, and one I'm happy to have watched, even if it's not perfect.

Robert Downy Jr., Robert Downy Jr., Robert Downy Jr., and a little bit of eye-catching CGI, a somewhat true view on the military industrial complex and we have Marvel's wonderful 2008 Iron man.
RDJ is absolutely dripping charisma here, and you can see why Marvel got to where they did, and off of who's back! I can't imagine others pulling off this role, and it's not exactly easy to make a compelling character who's given every earthly luxury by default - but he slips into the badass billionaire playboy with ease and holds your attention every time he's on screen.
The antagonist is definitely the type of evil prick you would expect, but also the weakest link (as he's non-interesting), and jumping around between California and the middle east is a little awkward - but above all I think they missed the mark the most on the showdown, I mean we don't see what goes into producing the antagonist's suit, and it simply seems a little goofy for them to already be equipping it and using it to attack Tony here, and a little anti-climactic. I believe if those were corrected, then this movie would be an easy 10 for most people.
It's wild watching some of these now, and seeing how far cinema has fallen, but at the very least it's a sign that greatest was in fact achieved, for it to be so hard to live up to by today's standards.
