I am so sad to see these stories about modern slavery. I heard about prostitution or drugs but that this kind of brutal crime I didn't know and let me very shocked at the end. I won't spoil here any further details but I recommend you to watch it. It was tense with full of twists. The main actors delivered an Oscar worthy performance. Congrats to everyone who participated and created this drama. 7/10.
I agree with the reviews of the IMDb about the wooden performance of Paul Newman and Julie Andrews. It's not the error of there quality cost more about the content. I mean, the story is too simply built up and there were many unnecessary scenes that could have been cut at least for the half running time.
It was just interesting to see the other actors and the wonderful picture by Technicolor.
5/10.

Harriet shows how brutal the landlords were who exploited black slaves. The atmosphere is gripping and adventurous in the same time. It is keeping you on edge and is fast paced.
A true story about slavery around 1850 in Maryland. I recommend to watch it. The storyline unfolds gradually, building suspense.
The main actress Cynthia Erivo was great in this heroic role and should have won the Oscar. Too underrated on IMDb. 8/10.
