I'm joking, of course. Looks a lot like someone was channeling Die Hard when they wrote the script. Every time I thought they weren't going to take from that movie, they found another homage...
Ridley is not bad as an action star. I'd watch another movie with her in it. Clive Own, who wasn't in the movie enough to warrant third billing, was fine. Matthew Tuck, on the other hand, was unbelievable as the autistic brother. I think that distracted me a lot.
It had a predictable ending, one I will not divulge here. All in all, not particularly good. All in all, not particularly bad...
See this one after you've seen every other movie, just for closure...

... to counter the ridiculous low ratings. This is an unflinching view of middle America post-manufacturing. I grew up lower middle class which made this all that more familiar. My brother was addicted to meth and my sister even dealt it. Both managed to get off of it and live normal and successful lives. I think that a lot of the hurt feelings being posted as reviews here indicate that they think smoking meth is a death-sentence from which there is no return.
The people in this documentary are not heroes but they are also not villains. Several of the interviewees kicked the meth habit. It was a thirty year old chapter of their lives and they continued living after that. Their towns STILL don't have jobs, so we'll be seeing much more of this in the future.
Worth a watch, folks... even though Tom Arnold is in it...

I never thought much about Ted Danson after Cheers... at least until my son told me about The Good Place. It was surprising to see a laid back and confident actor in the role when I was expecting someone a bit less competent.
I learned about A Man on the Inside but the overall plotline kept me from checking it out, until recently. I was glad I did. Danson plays a fantastic mix of guileless and eccentric. The kind of guy who promises to do as he's told and a minute later, doing the exact opposite.
I recognized Sally Stuthers right away... her voice, with the exception of cracks from old age, was totally recognizable. I look forward to seeing more of her character.
This has definitely gotten me ready to watch episode two...
