First positives; LOVED the music, cinematography, actors, and historical elements. I At the end of the day, the movie was definitely entertaining. However I walked out of the movie feeling very confused about what the point was. Is this a drama? Is it a gangster movie? Coming of age? Inspirational ? Musical? Comedy? Action? Thriller? Was this supposed to be symbolic? I would have preferred if they went in any of these directions more clearly and directly. I think if they focused more on the storyline about the twins, the young cousin, the music venue and the music in general it would have been an incredible movie. They definitely could have also tied in the elements of "evil" in a more subtle or realistic way that didn't feel so "mish-mashy" . Throwing the vampires in made this a little muddy. I liked so much of this movie but was also so confused about what I was supposed to be feeling or waking away with....:I still don't know ??

Awesome story with truly beautiful art and animation. I couldn't stop looking at all the thoughtful details throughout this entire movie. The sets are just mindblowing. Probably the best stop motion I've seen and in such a creative and unique artistic style. I think this movie was so successful in creating a seamless aesthetic while also telling a very thoughtful and emotional story. The creators of this film must feel very proud of what they've created here, and rightfully so. I also really appreciated the small moments of light heartedness and joy throughout this tragic telling. Without a doubt one of the best films of the year.

Wow so much darker and more disturbing than I was expecting, so glad I watched this. I have never seen a documentary bring the topic kids side of TV to such light. This was incredibly sad and yet so captivating. I was literally in the edge of my seat through the second half. I really hope this documentary changes things in the industry. Wanting, if you watch this be prepared to never enjoy watching your favorite Nickelodeon shows again. This was so incredibly heartbreaking and I expect it to sit with me for a few days. Everyone who shared their story was incredibly brave and it means so much for the kids that are being protected through bringing this darkness to the surface.
