It really does have that cheesy light colored, fake scenes. But this is not in the mortal world. So that works fine for me.
What I absolutely loved about this show, are the main 3 leads. It pulled me into the story, made me feel their relationships, their live, pain, laughter. I laughed, I cried, I cried, I cried, felt the love, and had an acceptable ending. Great watch. One of my all time fav Chinese drama.

If this were 30 episodes, I'd rate it a 10. I rounded it to 9, from 8.5.
Pros: great casting. Actress is adorable for the role. The F4s were great in their roles. Cute story. ML development was a natural pace. There were some happy smiley scenes, one or two tear jerker moments. Great looking crew.
Cons: repetitive scenarios, the sitting, waiting, walking, and flash backs took 55% of the show. I don't think I am exaggerating. How many different angles slow pace walking to a taxi cab that was literally 4-5 arms length away. If the fillers were removed, I can see myself watching this more than once. As it stands, once is enough. ** This coming from a person who has lost count of how many times I've watched the 73 episode Story of Ming Lan.

The first few episodes were exciting and lured me in. Watched it every chance I could. Then I started falling asleep bc the story dragged on and on and on. At episode 39 now and I am wondering whether to continue. Praised the main female heroine initially, but now I wonder how 3 strong men can fall head over heels in love with an arrogant, rude, constipated brat at times. One time she's breaking metal chains in an impossible situation, beating up a muscular man 3 times her size, and when it suits the story...she can't break away from skinny dudes who are not good in martial arts. Can she smile a bit and make me at least see the lure of her? They stare at each other... The guy falls in love. She berates them, and they fall in love. She gets injured, and leans her head on their shoulder, and they fall in love. Don't take me wrong, I love strong heroines... But this constipation doesn't cut it.
Thank goodness for some happy smiling and smart people at least.
