First movie isn't a masterpiece, but an original comic book adaptation with really cool stories within. Being entombed underwater for 500 years? Living for over 3000 years and living with a constantly changing (yet the same) humanity?
So the first movie was serviceable. The second? At this point the main characters are a terrorist organisation that kills everything that gets in their way. They are immortal after all, so there is nothing interesting about how they approach their problems. Even when their immortality is brought into question, this doesn't change their approach. So it becomes very boring without any stakes.
The lore of the world was a great addition, but again it never wants to take it further and see what it means psychologically to be immortal. Quinn (not spelled this way) doesn't seem like she's been underwater drowning for 500 years.
Cinematography is ok. Script is ok. Action is everything you've seen before. It's a film made by committee with a mandate for a sequel. The first at least had some heart.

Short films are extremely hard to crack. In under 15 minutes you have to sell in compelling characters, an attention grabbing scenario, a 'plot'.
Unfortunately, this one didn't land. However, some of the 'horror' elements were done well but it came too late. There was too much padding in the form of random conversation where the couple had no chemistry.
There is some interesting characterisation but unfortunately it falls into general tropes. Like a stranger running to the camp to fake out the strange noise in the woods - but she has no flashlight or anything? It's a redherring for the sake of it.
I see Netflix is streaming more and more short films, which I love to see. But they need to up their standard.
