Ugh, what a horrible movie.
It was as if half the series' episodes never happened! No mention of Lore
(although, perhaps discovering Data prototypes is an everyday occurrence). No acknowledgement that Picard has an artificial heart. Not to mention that he had hair as a cadet. And hello -- Worf was the Klingon Ambassador!!!
And the plot holes!!! Why were they chased on the desert buggies? Why did
they try to "mind rape" Deanna? How did Shinzon -- an outcast amongst the
dregs of society -- manage to gather all these followers, let alone build a state- of-the-art ship with a amazing new weapon? (And why was he so bent on
destroying Earth?) Where did the Romulans obtain the material to clone
Picard? And why does Picard's "clone" have such big honkin' lips and a nasal sneer?

This was an AMAZING film. It is true that you must have a certain amount of patience to view this film -- but if you appreciate beautiful, lyrical storytelling, you won't be disappointed. I don't have a single complaint.
Wow. Like a train wreck, I couldn't keep my eyes off of this film. I was riveted. And this was the sixth time I've seen it! An amazing retelling of the death of an era, and the death of a club kid.
