Last Night is a thought-provoking movie. What would you do if you knew the world would end shortly? Be with family; be alone? This movie goes over some of the very realistic (unlike those super-hero others out there) possibilities. The last 30 seconds of this movie have to be the most attention grabbing I've ever seen. I actually felt nervous for the characters.
It's good to finally see Toronto playing itself for a change.

Canadian Bacon is just the kind of movie I was looking for when I went to the video store.
The American President gains the public's support to start a war agains Canada. For his add campain he tries just about everything to turn the American citezens agains the Canadians. John Candy and a group of locals decide to take things into their own hands and cross the border.
There is some nice "Toronto" footage, (practically a first in America film- though lots is shot here) though the city seems less than inhabited. I particularly like the way the Canadians are portrayed as being super polite, and always totally blind to people's 'problems' with them. Who better to start the war with Canada than a group of Canadian actors and actresses.

I loved the musical score on this movie and it contains some of the best art work I have ever seen. Definitely a ten out of ten on my scale. A must see.
This movie takes place in a future where humans use cybernetic implants to enhance their lives. Someone known only as the Puppet Master has been hacking into peoples brains gaining control of them; allowing him to commit crimes, using his victims as drones.
There's a number of quotes that the viewer must think through before continuing on with the movie. Ghost in the Shell is a film that needs to be seen more than once in order for one to appreciate it's complex plot.
