I have been a huge fan of Tim Allen ever since "Home Improvement". Perhaps my expectations were too high, but I was very disappointed with this new show. It sounded like a very interesting concept, and I still believe it could work. But the banter between Tim and Richard was horrible. It sound forced, the jokes were lame, and the timing seemed off. And product placement is one thing, but a whole scene about the sponsor's pickup was just excessive.
Forced drama, predictable characters. Nothing new, same as all other reality shows. Let's wait to the last minute to setup camp and hunt for food, and so on. Plus the voice over must tell us how dire the situation is every 5 minutes
Interesting concept. I was really looking forward to the premier. First episode had a unique story about a stolen and buried Dino Ferrari. Sadly, there is only about a five minute story to be told, and they need to stretch it out to one hour. Endless repetition of the same facts. It might be tolerable as a 30 minute show.
