This movie caught me off guard at the Sundance Film Festival. This is an emotionally charged story that really lets you feel the emotion the characters are going through. The cinematography is breath taking and is simply put one of the best films shown at the festival. The acting was top notch and the directing was flawless. Make sure you see this film when it comes out. You will be in for a real treat.

I saw Out of Step with my family this weekend (mainly because I know the lead actress). All I can say is that this movie makes The Singles Ward look like Academy Award Winner material. The lines were so bad and full of cliches that I think someone in a high school TV Productions class could do better. The acting was pretty weak and the editing and cinematography was probably done by someone who has never taken a film class.

I hated this movie in so many ways. I want to scream just thinking about it. Please please if we must make movies about Mormon culture, let them at least be watchable.

This film is easily the worst film I have ever seen. I saw it at Sundance (how it made it in I will never know) and even at a festival where first time filmmakers are cut some slack with their films, Killing Time makes me want to demand my time back it robbed me of. Killing Time is about a kid who walks around New York City meeting new people on the way to a job interview. The problem is all the characters are uninteresting, boring and horribly acted. In fact, even the main character is so lame, you wonder how anyone could have accepted a part like this. While watching Killing Time something went wrong and they had to stop the film to correct it. Half of the audience took advantage of the opportunity and left. Why my friends and I didn't do the same, I don't know. But sitting through this film was one of the most horrible experiences I have ever experienced and I was applauding when the credits rolled because it was finally over.
