Valentine's Kiss

I saw it for Rupert Graves. And I was decided, after half of hour, to renounce to see it , because it seems the old so familiar story about man involved in new relation, selfish, cruel, the wife discovering than she was not the best mother but trying to fix this, reporter, the older daughter in a complicated situation , some tension, some twists, the not so surprising final.

A decent, correct crafted mini-series, pretending nothing than be a reasonable portrait of a family crisis .

A good point - maybe the levels of making The Tempest by William Shakespeare or the effort of actors to make some realistic their characters.

So, no expectations but reasonable film.

I've seen just first 20 minutes, I found it is not worth a time spend watching that (3 and 1/2 hour). Maybe book is better but TV adaptation should be dynamic. If film is good you are happy to see more episodes (or longer film), but if not it is simple unwatchable.

This is an excellent drama for those in the mood for an emotional roller coaster of consequences when the husband of a parenting guru asks for a divorce. Our heroine has made many mistakes in her marriage and as a mother, but she is still someone you root for. The cheating husband is, unlike his soon to be ex-wife, not a nice person to put it mildly. It has everything in it but the kitchen sink: Wedding, unplanned pregnancy, several career crises, break-ups, reconciliations, adultery, comeuppances, romance, friendship, estrangement from children, custody battles, alimony, lawyers, and of course a satisfying and happy ending for the people we like. Adding to the overall appeal of the film are the considerable talents of John Hannah, Eileen Atkins, and Caroline Catz of Doc Martin fame. It's nothing like Rosamunde Pilcher would have written, but I found it very entertaining.
