Stalker: Obsessão

If you are checking out the reviews you will notice that the earlier ones are very negative at times about gratuitous violence against women in this show, if the reviewers had actually bothered to wait until they had seen a couple of episodes before judging they would come to realise that men get their fair share of gratuitous violence against them too. Is the show violent.. yes, but no more violent than many other 10pm shows. The ongoing narrative is good, the 'case of the week' is diverse and in many instances a bit different from the majority of what has gone before in the cop genre. Stalker certainly delivers some proper edge of the seat moments. Don't let the one episode wonders who seem to know everything on day one put you off, this is good TV.

I'm going to start with discrediting the person who wrote a review on this title after watching one single episode. Stop lashing out, this is a good show with potential. It shows a serious issue. Stalking is increasingly becoming a problem specially in todays world with the advent of social media.

This show portrays the psychological state of stalkers and why they do what they do. It has action, a little bit of comedy and a lot of darkness. But it constantly keeps me guessing what comes next.

I like the characters. Maggie Q has always been my absolute favorite and she is stunning in this show. So is Dylan. Their back stories are intriguing. The supporting cast seems pretty rad too!

I think this show should deal more with stalkers and not confuse them with serial killers/murderers. In all if you've got time, its a good show to watch. If it is VCR record worthy will be known after we get midway into the season but for now I am placing my bets on Stalker.

Good acting, good premise, interesting characters and mysterious plots.

To me, this has been disappointing TV season. I started watching "Scandal" with great expectations, but after six episodes I decided to call it quits; "Scandal" is crap, predictable and always swinging for the lowest hanging fruit. Same for "Masters of Sex", which has been very dull. So with the sour taste still in my mouth from those disappointments, I didn't expect much if anything from "Stalker", but ...

it's a good show. The characters are written and acted well enough that I can't guess what's going to happen next, and the dynamics between the two-woman/two-man cast of main characters is compelling enough that their histories and interaction keep pulling me into the story.

So I'm adding this to my list of great shows: Walking Dead, Suits, Orange is the New Black, The Good Wife, Mad Men, Sherlock, The Americans, True Detective, etc.

It honestly is amazing to me that the show like the bachelor gets season after season but a actual good show like stalker gets only 1 damn season!! Do people just not know good tv and would really rather watch the other? I mean I know the show has been cancelled for a few years now it just STILL makes me mad that good t.v. shows are being cancelled for shows like that bachelor and the all the 200 singing shows that we need for some reason. I really miss this show 😡

I'll keep it short, because Stalker is definitely a show to be enjoyed. There are a lot of negative reviews, and I'm a little surprised. While Stalker, as a police procedural anyway, is nothing original, it's a refreshing change to the genre. The writing isn't as bad as is being depicted, and the dark and gritty surrealism of the show is quite enjoyable. Add in strong actors, in particular the shows lead Maggie Q, and you have an extremely enjoyable show. The chemistry on screen is also solid, and for a show that's just started, I'm thoroughly engrossed. It's something to be given the benefit of the doubt, and to see how well it handles its material in the long run.
