Every frame on the series feels like a photography, all details at scenes are very well planned, it's so beautiful to watch. The plot around two young men with relationship issues, lack of communication but mainly lack of sex. The needs to explore their own sexuality is very intense, the protagonists need to talk about that even if all starts like anonymous emails between two co-workers.
We all can get in complicated relationships, and keep on going even if there is huge an visible problems on sight. This series explore that, our attaching to things that are hurting us and hurting the couple as a whole. Another Japanese series reminding us about the assertive communication inside a couple, in this case replaced with no censorship communication with a coworker.
The two young men drives the series with their inner emotional problems, letting go their loved ones to start something new, maybe more healthy, more communicative and lots of more sex. The end was happy ending, and includes everything I was expecting to happen, no need for any more chapter like other reviews said.
"When it rain, it pours" is worth watching it one more time, it's beautiful.

Seriously, as ridiculous as it sounds, this Japanese BL series is all about guys who got blue balls because of their partners. Both main leads got the same issue with their partners because of poor communication. Starting from sending an email to the wrong address, they talked, got to know each other, meet on accident, had sex, and finally fall for each other. Some people think that having an affair is frowned upon, but don't let that opinion stop you from watching this series. Cause somethings are just not as black and white as it sounds. And this series tackled the issue elegantly and sensitively without prejudice. It was well acted, and also contains an important life lesson. With a good like this, it deserves your attention. And for BL fans, it has spicy scenes that will make you all blush.
It teaches us to enter into relationships only after confirming a certain significant aspects. The plot reminded me of 'Obsession' a Korean movie centering an extra marital affair of a general with his subordinate's wife except that this one is filmed in office premise with certainly lesser sensuality. Compared to the summary i read, the viewing experience definitely turned out well. Frankly i wanted to watch more thrilling and passionate encounters between Hagiwara and Nakarai. At least the actors compliment each other making a little while worth. Split screen documentation of lovers involuntarily benefitted the storytelling. Emotional commitment is supreme however urge to cherish their partner's warmth cannot be scorned at. As an obvious consequence of depicting infidelity, viewers despised this drama. I believe the channelization of emotions to that juncture was justified. A couple of charming men generously drenched in rain were a treat to my eyes.
Brilliant naunced acting, great directing. Captures beautifully how love can grow out of shared pain. Hagiwara is so well portrayed that a viewer can not only feel his torment, but fall more than a little in love with his striking beauty, care for others and sensitivity.
Sei is more complex... harder to warm to until you realise that he's like that from loss and trauma, and his reserve barely holds his inner torment in check. The viewer wants them both to have something better, but asks at first..."but is this it?"....until one sees the effects of shared care and tenderness on them both.
I actually had to re-watch to truly appreciate it because it's all so finely naunced... so don't watch unless you are prepared to give it your full attention!
The only negative I have is that after seeing all that and growing to feel for them both, I wanted to see more at the end of their healing together. It felt like it ended 15 minutes early.
Such a shame that there is no translation of the novel, I would love to read it in English. Hint!!!
