    Why make religion political?

So 9 minutes into watching I had to press the pause button, because I could not refrain myself from making a contribution. So, not having watched the whole move, yet, I decided to post a comment.

This is the fifth installment of the God's Not Dead franchise I believe. Now the first two installments I found extremely interesting and as I am a Christian I thoroughly enjoyed them.

But from then on I have noticed the franchise has gotten more political in its narrative.

Now I am a moderate conservative, and I dislike a lot of the new far left ideologies and views, especially on encouraging children in schools to express themselves what gender they are, and gender transitioning and the use of school bathrooms and locker rooms, all of which I vehemently disagree on.

But to me this government conspiracy to erradicate religion theme that the franchise has adopted makes me really uncomfortable.

I am going back to watching the rest of the movie which I already dislike after watching only 9 minutes.

Unexamined "morality" is held up as beacon confusing because in the time we are in this morality reads as lacking integrity this depletion of movies possible impact ruins i

We are in times when people who claim they are Christian and hold themselves up as the compass of how Christians should behave, have become completely confusing. This movie totally fails to show characters engaging the needed Self examination to restore the left leaning Who seem to align with Christian values more clearly in our culture wars and this leaves the right lacking the self-examination that faith requires. This means the movie is another failure and does not create dialogue or communication it just preaches. It is a dismal project.

Unable to be redeemed from this issue it makes no contribution whatsoever and is a waste of time.

    Typical Christians

As a Christian myself, this movie was hard to get though. This is why people dislike Christians so much. Christian teachings don't belong in government, sure a Christian can allow their beliefs to influence something where they are, but it doesn't mean forcing Christianity on others.

If a Christian is in a position of power they have, they shouldn't get up on a podium and tell the world they have to follow Jesus. This movie made atheist look like the worst people on the planet. While in fact there are so many atheist that are much nicer than Christians. It's obvious this movie was shaming the left. Im independent, I don't think politics should ever rule someones life but putting one side down to lift the other up isn't okay. Both sides have good and bad policies.

As Christians we should be loving and open to everyone. Jesus cared for sinners, gave free things to the poor. Jesus wouldn't talk about the left (or the right) in the manner this movie portrays.

If Pure Flix was brave they would make a "God's Not Dead: Church Awaking" As a Christian I have absolutely no desire to go to church anymore. Too many churches say they care until someone is in need like food, gas, etc and they just say, "We will pray for you" and don't help. The generosity of the church should go back to Acts when people just gave to help others. The church is supposed to be a light, its lost it. Too many horror stories of women getting se*ually harassed by pastors. Too many churches are just about the lights and sound, caring a little too much about how the band looks and sounds rather than just loving people and meeting them when they are at.

Churches have lost grace & compassion for others. Churches are about show & fun now, where churches used to be a place for the broken. People don't notice anymore if you leave, people don't check in, people go to church and act like a snob to others the next day, too many churches argue over small things in scripture like the end times or if they should celebrate Halloween or not. Then those that enjoy Halloween, other Christians attack them saying its sinful, but the one dressing up and getting candy doesn't have the convention its wrong. If you are personally convicted to not do Halloween, cool, but don't shame others for doing it.

And when someone asks a Christian about a hard topic, like suffering Christians are really bad at discussing it. They use too many "Christianeese" language. Like just saying, "Oh well if you trust in Jesus God works all things together for good" that's something you tell a Christian, not an unsaved person. You have to walk through a few things step by step and not just jump on "Oh Jesus loves you, trust him everything will be okay"

If Pure Flix really wanted to make an impactful movie, focus on church issues. That should be their next God's Not Dead movie. Because there is a serious issue in the church.

God Awful Movies brought me here

This was definitely worth watching. It was as hilarious as that podcast made it seem. Let's start with the villain: a man who wants to govern the country with.....science and reason. Literally. That's actually the villain's big, evil plan. Meanwhile, David A. R White complains that everything nonbelievers don't like, they label Christian nationalism in a movie that repeatedly (and I mean, repeatedly) claims America is, was, and has only ever been, a Christian nation.

This movie simultaneously boasts that there are more ministers in Congress now than ever while ALSO complaining that there's not enough religion in politics and being a proud Christian makes it hard to get elected. This movie complains about the government not giving enough money to David's favorite women's shelter while ALSO claiming the government shouldn't spend money on healthcare. This movie claims that separation of church and state means that government should say out of church, but church should totally be in government while ALSO claiming that it's not promoting Christian nationalism.

It's hysterical and as the movie it is, a comedy, it gets a 10. But for the movie it thinks it in-an effective, well-made film harmlessly presenting the benefits of Christian nationalism-it gets a 0. But that's not an option on IMDb.

    Praise God

Judging by what movies have super high ratings right now & the comments for this movie, I'm not sure a high rating from IMDb could even be considered a good thing. I gave it a 7-because it leaves room for more preaching, and I feel strongly that there is a lot more room to show the lacking integrity we see from the left side (& sometimes right) in politics-there's a pretty clear difference though-& it's obvious which side hates God. We need more movies like this one. It's shocking that many Christians do not vote-if you read this please do not hesitate to vote against a liberal government that wants to remove your freedom. They've removed voter i.d. Laws, made our border & security a national threat, and children having gender confusion is only a huge problem because of leftist ideologies that simultaneously want to remove God from every facet of our communities-which include government, education, entertainment, you name it!

If you love Jesus, if you love your country, you'll appreciate this movie!
