This is one of those keep your brains at home and come to watch type of movies.
Cast: Both the lead actor looked good, but you will feel that somebody else would have done a better job with the same character. They both failed to create spookiness.
Bindu Panicker: spoiled her own time, our time and her image.
All the parents and siblings were good.
Villain: He was the only good thing, who came in towards the end. He was spookily good looking and did a very good job.
Comedy: There was nothing of that sort, which would remain with us or we would like to re-quote later.
They hint at a part 2, but its actually not required, and you guys dont have to put any effort to create something similar or a back story or a future story, because its not that important for us to know. Its a see once , forget , get on with your life and dont even bother to discuss kind of movie.

I was way excited for this movie's OTT release but I didn't enjoy this movie at all. The story was unique in it's own way but the introduction of comedic elements in-between the story was not fitting at all. I felt the dialogue delivery from Aishwarya quite artificial and she was a miscast in this movie.
Many reviewers were praising this movie for it's humour but again it didn't work for me and I think Johny Antony should do some other interesting roles. He has been typecaste as a senior figure in lots of movies and after a point the comedic elemets won't work anymore.
Sharaffudin did pretty well and Jagadeesh was also okay.
As I have mentioned before in other reviews, endings these days are not great at all, and I don't understand why people struggle to execute a proper climax- I don't want to mention any spoilers, please watch and experience, the ending was very unfitting for this movie.

The first half was breezy and amusing at times. Of course, a 21st century Malayalam comedy cannot be as exciting as some of the classic comedies of the 90s and early 2000s. This is a new era. No double meaning jokes. Everything toned down. Family friendly. Woman friendly. Some of the old guard like Jagadish, Bindhu Panicker and Johny Anthony have survived and are now acting with the new generation actors like Sharaf U Dheen, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Adhri Joe and Joemon Jyothir.
The story is engaging. A young woman is under the spell of her mother's ghost and the man who is about to marry must deal with the situation.
Some of the situations put a smile on your face but nothing in the movie made me laugh out loud.
The second half is less engaging. Things get a bit dark. Anyway, the film does not overstay its welcome. It all gets over in around 136 minutes.
Jagadish and Johny Antony stood out for me. Sharaf tries really hard. But the shoes of a comedic hero in Malayalam cinema is a tough one to fill. Standards are so low these days that even a quarter of a good performance is hailed as something out of this world. Sharaf seems to have impressed the Youtube reviewers. Aishwarya Lakshmi was cold and uninspiring. I do not get her appeal.
Anyway, the night show was full and the audiences were laughing like it was the 90s. Having enjoyed the classics of the 90s, I just found it all to be a bit weak.
