Sing in Love

This movie absolutely ruined me. Like I cannot express the way I felt. It was so flipping weird, but I liked it and I hate that I liked it if that makes any sense. It was also pretty traumatic, if I were to ever watch this again I genuinely think I'd be unstable. The acting was absolutely outstanding. With a theme like this, I was expecting some very cringey scenes, but honestly the acting was so good, it wasn't cringe at all. I think if you were to watch this, you'd have to have a certain mindset going into it because this isn't your typical BL drama. It's gross, deep, traumatic, dark, etc. It can really leave an impact on you, if you know how to watch something and think about it thoughtfully. It's a good watch and I recommend if you wanna see a different kind of story. Really good.

I'm suprised, that this didn't already has a review. I consider this movie top tier and I think it's criminaly underrated. First of all, the characters are actually written and they have personalities. Also the story seemed very thought through, and well planed, there wasn't any unnecessary parts. But this movie gets very dark, very fast. It contains rape, homophobia, murder, child murder, prostitucion, heavy trauma and even more. I genuinely had to stop it every five minutes just to walk around my room. It is a very hard watch and you have to have the guts for it, that's why i couldn't get myself to rewatch it yet.

The actors and the acting is amazing. Yu Inaba portays the feelings so well, it felt like it was based on a real story. Kenshin Endo also did amazing with his character. They were very suited for their roles and had great chemistry together. The emotions felt raw and very moving.

The only thing that thrown me off a bit was the ending, but I wont go into detail. I just couldn't stop crying for like half an hour after it, because it was so amazing.

I recommend this movie if you're already used to dark japanese movies or you just want to start getting into them. The main focus is not on the romance, but the mc's healing journey, so if your only looking for a bl this is probably not it. But if you like deep and psychological movies like me this is a must watch!:3.
