If you miss those good old Bollywood masala entertainers, Son of Sardaar 2 is exactly the kind of movie you've been waiting for. It has exaggerated action, laugh-out-loud gags, and a wholesome family drama running underneath. Ajay Devgn once again proves why audiences love him in this avatar his effortless charm, confident body language, and natural comic timing make every scene sparkle. The supporting cast adds a rich layer of fun and madness, while the vibrant music lifts the mood instantly. It's not about realism; it's about enjoying the unapologetic magic of cinema, and here, that magic works perfectly.
Over a decade after Son of Sardaar brought its blend of chaotic comedy, action, and family drama to the silver screen, its sequel Son of Sardaar 2 arrives with the weight of expectations. Unfortunately, the film struggles to recapture the original's charm, failing to leave a lasting impression. To begin with, Son of Sardaar 2 carries no real narrative connection to its predecessor. The screenplay is light in tone and maintains a steady. While the first half starts off sluggishly with little to no momentum, it gains some traction as more characters are introduced and the comic elements gradually find their rhythm. The second half offers more laughs and energy, but the journey to get there feels longer than necessary.
Ajay Devgn surprisingly delivers an average performance this time. His usual energy is missing, and he doesn't seem fully involved in the fun or craziness the role needs. On the brighter side, Mrunal Thakur is a refreshing presence. She embraces the madness around her and displays sharp comic timing. Ravi Kishan is arguably the film's standout. Dolly Ahluwalia and Roshni Chopra plays her part well. The late Mukul Dev returns as Tony and shares an enjoyable camaraderie with Vindu Dara Singh's Titu. Deepak Dobriyal also impresses, while comic veterans like Sanjay Mishra and Chunky Panday are sorely underused. Kubbra Sait, Ashwini Kalsekar, and Neeru Bajwa deliver average performances.
Son of Sardaar 2 is a lackluster sequel that tries hard to tick all the commercial boxes. Watch it if you're in the mood for a harmless, breezy watch with family but keep your expectations in check.

What I loved about Son of Sardaar 2 is that it never takes itself too seriously and that's what makes it such a fun watch! The mix of action, comedy, and emotion is perfectly balanced, and Ajay Devgn's performance is the backbone of the movie. The film captures the beauty of Punjabi culture-its humor, hospitality, and heart-while delivering a story that's easy to connect with. The punchy one-liners, colorful visuals, and energetic songs make it a complete paisa-vasool entertainer. Whether you're a fan of the original or watching this series for the first time, you'll leave the theater with a big smile.
Avoid this torture. Spend your free time somewhere else. Save money. No story, No direction , no entertainment. I am shocked how the makers thought this would work. Only brain dead people may like it. I'm just punching in more words here so that I can reach the minimum required characters in the review.
One of the best things about Son of Sardaar 2 is its ability to make you laugh without losing its emotional touch. Yes, it's filled with over-the-top stunts and larger-than-life moments, but underneath all the madness lies a sweet message about family, friendship, and forgiveness. Ajay Devgn is in top form, carrying the film with a mix of heroism and humor. The music, especially the bhangra beats, is infectious, making you want to get up and dance. It's a movie that knows exactly what its audience wants big laughs, big action, and a big heart and delivers on all counts.
