I admire filmmakers, especially low-budget filmmakers. To make a film is a labour of love, or should be. All films have merit, no matter how bad they are.
This film's merit is the fact it was made. Everything else about it is ludicrous. The script is weak at best, the acting terrible at best. In fact, the acting is so bad, I felt while watching it was deliberately so, that the whole film was an in-joke.
This is billed as a thriller. It isn't. Thankfully I've just watched it on Prime as part of a subscription so it was free in a sense.
If you must watch it - and in a perverse way I'd recommend it - watch out for the flat champagne scene. The budget obviously didn't stretch to champagne - or Cava or Prosecco. In fact, every scene contains something to be amused at.
Ignore any reviews that praise this film. They have either never seen the medium of film before or are family or cast members - it's terrible.
If anyone reading this review wants to exact real revenge on someone, tie them to a chair and make them watch this - it's abysmal.

The only reason I'm leaving this review is to counter the other, completely false, deceitful, alleged 'reviews' that describe this horribly poor, badly-made film as 'riveting, edge-of-your-seat' etc... honestly, if you want to watch it from a perverse sense of associated morbid fascination-go ahead. It's that bad you may enjoy it for that reason... but that'll be it! Script is so inane, acting consequently awful, plot dismal... honestly, this has all motivated me to help you not waste 92 mins of your life. Now... make your own choice. Oh-I've to write another 60 characters... I'll check back on responses to MY review and look forward to your comments, folks.
My honest critique. Overall, this is a good revenge tale filmed without a lot if contrast which gives this movie that Lifetime movie feel. Good pacing. The lead actor was good, acting wise, as well as the antagonist. Good way to keep obstacles in front of him. I thought he played out those tense moments throughout the movie well. Very good scene where he had to make a tough decision when it came to his best friend at work. The pacing was good and I could also feel the main character's tough decision that he had to make in that scene. I thought that the acting from the supporting cast could have been stronger and more believable. However, the ending was good without any loose ends. Good Job.
"Fated" is a thriller that seamlessly blends suspense, mystery, and emotional depth. This indie movie centers around Miles, a successful investment banker whose life unravels after receiving a series of threatening texts. Larry Lowe's portrayal of Miles is both convincing and compelling, bringing credibility and emotional weight to the protagonist. The supporting cast also deserves mention. Emily Tugaw as Samantha and Sierra Keys as Taya deliver standout performances but not all of the actors hit the mark. Some supporting actors fall short of the bar set by the leads, slightly detracting from the otherwise high standards. Overall it's a well-crafted movie that dives into the complexities of hidden secrets and the lengths someone will go to protect loved ones. For fans of suspenseful, thought-provoking movies, this one is a worth a watch.
