The Getback

I'm honestly a huge fan of Theo Rossi after seeing him in luge cage as shades and this film was a real treat .. sure it's low budget but it's a Tubi film what else do you expect. The story is very well done and the action was done well Rossi pulls off a hard character well in my opinion he's always had that sort of action movie star vibe to him ever since I saw him for the first time in luke cage ... I think this film will go under the radar but for what it's worth I think the filmmakers and everyone involved did an absolutely amazing job putting this piece together and I am proud of Theo Rossi!

Despite being an Indie film, Jared Cohn's "The Getback" shows as a big-budget production film. Along with Chad Law and Garry Charles capturing the essence of storytelling, this is a must-see film.

It's one of the rare movies that succeeds on almost every level; delivering comedy, drama, and action creating a seamless film that keeps your attention. They have created a world in which a merciless ex-cop turned bounty hunter (Mal Cooper) takes a case that breaks through his tough exterior to revive the honest, devoted, and well-respected officer of the law he set out to be. Theo Rossi' as the "salty" Cooper, forges this as a movie worth repeated viewings. And, the chemistry between Rossi & Shane Paul McGhie (Jack Gordon) left me wanting more in a franchise-worthy way!

Really an edge of your seat, keep you entertained from beginning to end kind of movie. I'm a huge fan of Theo Rossi and Kim Coates and being able to see them together in these roles was great. The action was phenomenal and kept you guessing. Kim killed it with his portrayal! This was my first watch of a Tubi movie so I wasn't sure what to expect but I positively loved it! The entire cast was really casted so well for their individual characters as well. Great suspenseful action from beginning to end! I am hopeful there will be many more coming out with Theo in it. I'll be back to watch if there is!

I'm actually shocked. Every other Tubi movie I have seen has sucked. The two leads had good charisma. I know it's a generic plot ala Midnight Run but it is well executed. Theo Rossi and the bail jumping kid both put in way above average performances for a low budget movie and Kim Coates is always good.

For a movie with obvious budget constraints, it's well shot and edited. Apparently Tubi is flush with cash so hopefully they start making more content like this instead of that horror junk they've been outting out

Give this one a shot. It's not a bad way to kill 80 minutes. Honestly more entertaining than Fast X which was abysmal.

Theo Rossi & Kim Coates together again, what's not to love? The scenes with these two are absolute gold, with chemistry that transports you back to season 1 of Sons of Anarchy and that famous Doberman scene. Honestly, if you love these guys it's a must watch, you won't be disappointed.

The movie is a fun watch, lots of twists and turns and fantastically shot and edited. It's astounding that it was filmed over just 15 days, what they achieved in that time is amazing. It's a great advert for indie filmmaking and would hold its own against bigger budget Netflix/ Hollywood films, in my opinion. I hope to see more like it on Tubi in the future.
