This was a good watch! Very entertaining, dialogue was good, there were some technical errors but not so much that it bothered me. Ananya was VERY good, her expressions were on point and she was grounded where needed, and loved the supporting cast. I do think gurfatteh and her chemistry was good during the important scene they shared, but otherwise his character was too toned down I felt. That's my only really bother because I think there could have been more potential with them. I enjoyed the Bollywood references A LOT. That was a nice touch. Overall great watch, predictable ending but guess we will see what happened if there is a season 2. I do hope there is one!
Ananya Panday delivers a tour-de-force performance in Call Me Bae, a series that seamlessly blends comedy, drama, and romance. Her portrayal of Bella is a revelation, showcasing her versatility and ability to connect with audiences on a deep emotional level.
From the moment Bella graces the screen, Panday's captivating presence commands attention. Her expressive eyes, impeccable comedic timing, and genuine emotions bring the character to life in a way that is both relatable and unforgettable. The series' witty dialogues and engaging storyline are further elevated by her stellar performance, making Call Me Bae a must-watch for fans of Indian entertainment.
One of the most impressive aspects of Panday's performance is her ability to balance humor and heart. Her comedic timing is impeccable, delivering lines with a natural ease that never feels forced. However, she also excels in the more dramatic moments, showcasing her range and depth as an actress. Her chemistry with her co-stars is undeniable, creating a sense of authenticity and warmth that adds to the overall enjoyment of the series.
Beyond Panday's exceptional performance, Call Me Bae is a well-crafted series that offers a refreshing take on the coming-of-age genre. The show's exploration of themes such as friendship, love, and self-discovery resonates with audiences of all ages. The writing is sharp and witty, with a keen understanding of human nature. The direction is confident and stylish, creating a visually appealing world that complements the storytelling.
In conclusion, Call Me Bae is a gem of a series that is elevated by Ananya Panday's exceptional performance. Her portrayal of Bella is a masterclass in acting, showcasing her talent and versatility. Whether you're a fan of Indian entertainment or simply looking for a well-made show that will keep you entertained, Call Me Bae is a must-watch.

Binge watched the entire show in one go. Truly marvelous acting. Don't go by the other reviews and watch with an open mind. Plots might seem obvious at some points but the stellar acting covers it up.
People say it's a rip off of Emily in Paris but that's just not true. It has the Bollywood in it which separates it apart.
The characters are well developed, the relationships are well developed. The cinematography also was magnificent. I'm glad I gave this show a chance and I feel everyone should as well if you are looking for a good chick flick.
The comedy at some point could be better but other than that the show has everything. I thought this would be a one season thing but the END! Can't wait for season two now!

Amazon Prime's new series Call Me Bae is a glittery take on a Gen-Z socialite's fall from grace. Packed with fashion, sass, and social commentary, it's a breezy 8-episode ride. While it lacks emotional depth, it delivers enough glam and giggles to binge on a lazy weekend. If you liked Emily in Paris, you'll enjoy this breezy watch. Just don't expect substance with your sparkle.
I'm not for fluff, I have never liked Karan Johar's movies like Student of the Year kinds .. but call me Bae is actually a nice watch.
Watch it without any judgement. It's pure entertainment with a cute mockery of the rich and famous without being derisive .
I actually watched a few reviews by famous reviewers and earlier decided to drop it because they were not that encouraging.
But having lost trust in the famous reviewers over the last few years (especially after Pathan ;);)) , I decided to give it a go.
The fact that I completed the 1at episode and decided to continue told me that I would sail through.
I particularly loved the innocence of Ananya Pandey. As per the movie, one doesn't have to go to journalism school to be a famous journalist, the same way I feel Ananya doesn't have to be a fabulous actor to hold the entire show. She has done a good job by acting who she is, how we see her on social media .
The supporting cast is full of energy and that doesn't let the show go boring. Vir Das is good as an irritating Tehelka style presenter.
My favourite is the watchman who tells Ananya - Aapki majboori jahan shuru hoti hai, wahan tak pahunchna hee to apna sapna hai 😀 with a snide ref of Siddhant Chaturvedi.
