The whole movie people are drinking alcohol and the advertisement for Mercedes, Townie bikes and Apple is more than obvious. The movie has anyway the style of an advertising spot (camera, music, ...). Kokowääh 2 was promoted as a family movie, but what you get is tons of advertisement and alcoholics.
Not to forget the mumbling of Schweiger and his daughter - maybe some speech therapist could help.
As the storie is too thin, some celebs and hullabaloo has to fill the 120 mins: The "Duschlampe" "gag" with Arthur Abraham, the tampon scene with Schweigers older daughter, the pool scene with Stefan Kretzschmar and so on.
On top of it you have Matthias Schweighöfer - his protégé who makes the same kind of movies - playing "himself".
Where the first Kokowääh movie has something like a story - even it was also pure advertisement - the story of this movie is just absurd and ends up with a pseudo marriage of two kids and Schweiger as the priest - what a kitsch.

I totally didn't expect Till Schweiger to make such a brilliant movie. Maybe I loved it so much because I watched it in German (cause translated movies usually lose pretty many jokes). The characters are well-thought, the kids are lovely and the movie just gives you such a warm feeling... Plus I laughed at this movie like I never laughed at any other movie. A week later I watched "This is 40", which was so well rated everywhere. And my God, in comparison to Kokowääh it was such a cheap Hollywood comedy, where people fart and laugh about it.
I will never understand why Kokowääh 2 is rated so badly on IMDb. Don't believe anything you see, just watch it yourself and you will know what I mean.

I enjoyed the original Kokowääh very very much, so my expectations for the sequel were really high. While Kokowääh 2 gives us the same characters and a further insight into their lives, and it also delivers some really nice and heartwarming and funny moments as one would expect, quite unfortunately the sequel just isn't good enough and feels lacking. Oh, don't get me wrong, the movie is still decent and watchable, and if one happens to be unaware of the first movie, which IMO was simply superb, then one might still find this movie very very good and all. But since I've seen the first Kokowääh movie, I'm really sorry to say that the sequel's bar is set so much lower than the original's. And for that let down of my expectations, I'll be harsh and give Kokowääh 2 a rating of just 5 statrs out of 10.
I love Til Schweiger (you will remember him as Hugo Stiglitz in Inglourious Basterds). He is also a director and a writer. I am learning German, so I bought many of his movies. My older kids (11 and 8 years old) & I loved Kokowääh (that's the first movie) (we watch many movies on our cinema projector) and I immediately bought the second one (Kokowääh 2) without expecting much. Well, it is even funnier than the first one! If you are a mother or a father you will enjoy a lot these movies. They are funny, sweet and with many daily situations that you can relate to. This is not a masterpiece (there are some clichés, of course, but we don't have to watch always Bergman, do we?), but it is a movie that will make you think, laugh & maybe even cry. It touches many aspects about parenthood, love, and friendship. Ideal for enjoying with your older kids. Greetings from Madrid / Antonia
The overall failure to add new ideas on the basis of the first part, forced changes in the dentist's personality and behavior settings are very incomprehensible and disliked.
