Peggy (Witbeck) Matheson - "Police Woman Clarita Harbinger" and Penny (Witbeck) Harville - "Mrs. Sacanni" are identical twin sisters. Peggy is wearing a blonde wig during the film and the change is so dramatic that the "identicalness" is rarely noticed.
Penny Witbeck was hired to play the part of Mrs. Sacanni. She and the director, Dan Harville, went to dinner together after the first day of shooting and by the end of the post-production, Penny Witbeck and Dan Harville were married. Penny Witbeck's credits were changed to Penny Harville before the release of the film.
The working title of the film was FOR RITA WITH LOVE. The bench with the plaque is located in San Diego's Mission Bay Park in the De Anza cove area along the skate path just before you pass onto the Hilton Hotel property.
Every time a TV is on during this movie it is playing the movie TeenAlien. Dan Harville (Director/Writer/Actor) starred in TeenAlien as a teenager.
