Imagine a world where the forest is full of those guys who actually consume the supplements their favorite disgraced political commentator sells them to pay off their court bills.

If you've ever found yourself wondering "how long can a guy fail to act concerned inside a tent while another guy fails to sound menacing outside a tent?" Well, let me tell you, this movie has your answer: it's 10 minutes! 10 actual, consecutive minutes of just... that. A bland guy in a tent listening to a guy make noises outside the tent. 10 minutes. That's not hyperbole or exaggeration, it's almost exactly 600 unbroken seconds of a guy in a tent listening to a guy outside the tent.

If reading that paragraph was exhausting and repetitive, just imagine watching the scene it describes.

I can't recommend you actually spend your time watching this one.

The Woodmen is a film all horror fanatics and especially fans of Found Footage will enjoy. Camping in the woods will never be the same.

I found myself screaming YES!!! When it was over.

The story had me fully immersed in the film. That paired with the surprising cinematography and believable acting from the main characters made for a good solid film for independent horror.

This film is definitely not a slow burn, which personally can turn me off from a lot of found footage. I actually wished it was a bit longer and some of the scenes went a little more into detail. I would have liked to see some of the characters relationships explored a little more.

This one actually creeped me out a bit! Get ready for some action packed insanity and lots of surprises.

Even if you think you know...you don't.

I love the premise of some woodmen living feral humans living in the mountains this was I thought mostly a comedy. If they had a 10k budget I have no clue where that went because this could be done for about a dollar fity on an iphone. The acting was atrocious and this first time you hear the girl say Umm, if will be stuck in your head for the duration of the movie.

The "woodmen" look like regular people wearing jeans and t-shirts making weird noises and there is actually no actually scare factor to any of it, Umm unless you keep hearing Ummm from the girl. Give this a watch for one reason only, get with a bunch of friends! Watch it! And every time the girl says Umm! DRINK! You will thank me and be passed out before the 30 minute mark.

The Woodmen was made with the low budget of 10,000 dollars, according to IMDB, so with that in mind the small cast, cinematographer, director, and writer did a fair job. The movie, for the most part, takes place in remote areas of the Appalachian trail. It is found footage made by several folks on the trail for various reasons. All of them deviate ftom the main trail, and overstay the time they planned, leaving them in the wild, in the dark. They encounter feral humans living in the woods and sound and behave as animals. Without giving away too much, the encounters do not go well for the civilized humans vs the feral ones, with some on both sides meeting gruesome ends. It has scary moments, with some reminiscent of Blair Witch. It is worth a watch, just don't expect too much.

"WOODMEN" is a diamond in the rough - a low-budget found footage horror that packs a punch. The trio of Anna Clary, Dan Grogan, and Hunter Nino deliver standout performances, anchoring the film with their authenticity. Their portrayal of a chilling encounter with a violent clan in the Great Smoky Mountains feels alarmingly real, creating a genuine sense of dread that lingers throughout the movie.

What sets this indie gem apart is its commitment to solid, believable acting, elevating the narrative and ensuring an immersive experience. Amidst the scares, there are spine-tingling moments that will have you on the edge of your seat. Plus, the appearances by L. C. Holt and Nancy Anne Ridder add an extra layer of intrigue for horror aficionados.

As the fourth installment of the Cryptidverse by Horror Dadz Productions, "WOODMEN" seamlessly integrates into this shared horror universe. Clocking in at just under 75 minutes, its well-paced storyline keeps you hooked, complemented by commendable lighting that allows the outdoor night scenes to shine-quite literally. Thankfully, the clear audio mixing ensures every spine-chilling dialogue is easily comprehensible.

For fans of found footage horror, "WOODMEN" is a must-watch. It not only stands on its own as a gripping thriller but also enriches the larger Horror Dadz Cryptidverse. And don't rush out when the credits roll-the familiar voices might just add another layer to this captivating tale.
