Fight Night Champion

This game is the best fighting/boxing game ever. The mechanics allow you to feel as if you're fighting yourself which can allow you to even use many tactics such as counterattacks, pressure fighting, outside/inside fighting etc. I really like the story mode in which you can learn to fight against different types of boxers such as body snatchers, slicksters, and even put you in dangerous situations such as being one armed in a fight or even not being able to use body shots without a false foul against you. It helps to develop your boxing skills. Career mode is where I have most of my issues while still being great. I like how we get to simulate our training and work our way up. I also like how we can get achievements to boost other boxers but I feel like the opponents are too easy to beat as even real life boxers stats are not accurate to what they are in other gameplay and I also feel as if they could have made it harder to increase stats on training. As an example I eventually get to the point where almost all of my stats are 100 making me a titan and I feel it makes career mode too easy and doesn't give you the chance to not only deal with strengths and weaknesses but also takes out the fun of becoming champion. However, I do like how as you get older your stats begin to slowly decline to where you would eventually be forced to retire. Overall, while there are flaws. I love this game.

Even tho this game came out in 2011 it's still the best boxing experience to be had. It offers a story mode that is enjoyable enough to finish in a relatively short amount of time although it somewhat predictable it's still a lot of fun. The online aspect of the game is fantastic with hours upon hours of enjoyment the fights are tactical and offer real excitement and tension. I don't agree that the controls are confusing but saying that I've played finght night 3/4 and this one. If you haven't played this game and you are a fan of boxing don't hesitate to pick this up. It's backwards compatible so you can okay this on Xbox one if that's your chosen consol. All in all for the age and the price this game has to be a 10/10 because their simply isint a better boxing out there

Ever since I was obsessed with the NES "Punch-Out!", I've been searching for the next great boxing sim. With playable characters like Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, Evander Holyfield, Lennox Lewis, and Mike Tyson, I thought this had the chance to be great. Unfortunately, like with most pugilistic video game efforts, it is just too difficult to play without a steep learning curve.

Though playing as classic boxers is fun, it doesn't make up for the fact that boxing video games have almost an impossible task when it comes to controls. I played this with some friends for a couple of hours, and after that time all we determined is that we would need more practice to truly be good. A LOT more practice. Until you completely master the various punching/blocking/dodging controls, you it is pretty much just randomly hitting buttons and hoping for results.

For a comparison: Shortly after trying this game out, I also got WWE 2K14 for the XBOX 360. Within one match, I could easily pick up the controls and had great fun with the game. I knew there was more in-depth controlling I could do, but I didn't need to be an expert button-er to dive right in. This relegated "Fight Night" to the back of the gaming shelf.

Overall, then, while this game is so tantalizing in offering all the classic fighters from days gone by, the controls still are not good enough to make it all that fun of a game. Unless you really want to invest the time into perfecting it, don't bother picking this one up.

This game is Incredible the story is one of the best in a sport themed game and it's very uplifting the online is good except if you're not good at the game you will lose almost any match online due to their being no skill based matchmaking i think and due to the game being 11 years old this year not many people play online anymore.

This game is just amazing! The roster of both legends and current boxers (for 2010...) is solid, and all of the models look lifelike at times. Speaking of which, the graphics are downright stunning sometimes, especially for being released in 2010. The arenas look fantastic, especially when they're drenched in blood after an intense bout. Blood and battle scars look tremendous in this game. The controls are easy to pick up and play, although difficult to master. The punches are snappy and satisfying. The story mode in this game is great, too. I will say: the final boss in the story mode might be the hardest boss fight in any game EVER. It's that damn hard. Anyway, although there aren't many modes, they're all damn good. So, this game is highly recommended by myself to any fellow Boxing fan to enjoy.
